Why should we want, hope and pray for the restoration of the Temple in Jerusalem with its emphasis on sacrificial rites? Isn't this an anachronistic belief?

Moshiach is an incredible power of kedusha which will be unleashed in
this world, and there is no doubt that the Satan and the powers of
klipah would combat anything which would lead to the birth of Moshiach.

Here's one answer: According to tradition Elijah participates at every Jewish boy's circumcision. Since Elijah's
purpose is to come and tell everyone their lineage, which tribe they
are from etc. Who better to do this job than someone who was at the
