In fact, this is the fall of man through these carnal things. which separates man from the Eternal. Which hopefully will end in bring man to his kneels of humility, so he can realize the truth of what is truly important. Man is still just a man. Man was created by the Eternal from dust, for a simple life of service, and praise to the Eternal,while being caretakers of his Earth. i must respectfully disagree with the premise that man is growing closer to G-d.
