But <i>one-time</i> miracles like the one discussed in this article are not considered a change to the world pattern, because they have happened in the past as well during the Exodus and other times during our history. Maimonides only holds that "one should not entertain the notion that the King Moshiach <i>must</i> do miracles and wonders", but he does not write anywhere that Moshiach will certainly not do them. Note that Maimonides concludes "all these and similar matters cannot be [clearly] known by man until they occur, for they are undefined in the words of the prophets."
